Your images stay on your device
This page describes exactly what happens to a file you open in FileKit.
No image uploads
Your image files are never transmitted off your device.
No image storage
There is no server-side storage, cache or log of your files.
No account
No sign-up, no profile, no email address required.
No server-side processing
Compression, conversion and editing all run in your browser.
Which browser APIs are used
Files are read with the File API, decoded with createImageBitmap, drawn with the Canvas API, encoded back to a Blob, and downloaded through an object URL created with URL.createObjectURL. Bulk work runs in a Web Worker; ZIP archives are assembled in the browser with JSZip.
Files remain on your device
Nothing you open here is written to a server, and closing the tab discards everything. The only files that reach your disk are the ones you explicitly download.
Network requests
The site loads its own JavaScript, CSS and web fonts from a content delivery network, as any website does. Those requests contain no information about your images.
